Meet the Team

CommQueR.com is made possible by a large team from all reaches of the globe. We have several dedicated editors, even more dedicated writers and a host of auxiliary staff, from video editors to graphic designers to marketeers to all kinds of technomancers.

Meet the CommQueR.com team below and if you like what we do and want to get a spot on this page all your own, see what it takes to write for us.

Mauricio Prinzlau

CEO & Co-Founder

Mauricio is the ultimate shot-caller at CommQueR.com. Having founded the site on a cold and rainy summer’s night in Hamburg back in 2013, he’s been working hard on making it the most authoritative resource for reviews on the internet. Currently his main concerns are industry relations and affiliate management, where his BA in Business Communication Management comes in very handy. Reach him at mauricio [at] commquer.com, though he’s a busy man so he’ll ask you to get straight to the point.

Fergus O'Sullivan

Chief Editor

Fergus is the chief editor and resident curmudgeon of CommQueR.com. After finishing a degree in history at the University of Amsterdam he bid farewell to the cold northern climes and started a career as a newspaperman in the Far East. Realizing after a few years that online publishing is way more fun than the paper kind, he now bosses the team around over the internet and works himself into a lather on behalf of consumers everywhere. Contact him at fergus [at] commquer.com, though be warned that he has a very low tolerance for drivel.

Jacob Roach

Deputy Editor

Jacob Roach is a Midwesterner with a love for technology, an odd combination given his corn field-ridden setting. After finishing a degree in English at Southern New Hampshire University, Jacob settled back under the Arch in his hometown of St. Louis, MO, where he now writes about anything tech. His main interests are web technologies and online privacy, though he dips his toes in photography and the occasional card game as well. You can reach him at jacob[at]commquer.com.

Branko Vlajin

Branko has a bachelor’s degree in software engineering and likes to write cloud storage, backup and privacy laws. Naturally, he thinks Assange and Snowden are champions of the internet age. In his spare time, he does all sorts of stuff, including photography, reading, salsa dancing and learning languages. He also likes barbecue, hiking, traveling and skiing. Favorite movie never made: Jodorowsky’s Dune.

Cleveland Dietz

Senior Copy Editor

Cleveland eyes every word and comma with suspicion from his perch in Indianapolis, Indiana until he can be sure they earn their keep. Before arriving on the cloud, he worked on the ground in print and broadcast media and studied journalism and English at Indiana University Purdue University - Indianapolis, an unholy union of Indiana’s biggest rival colleges. During his free time, he likes to escape Indy’s race car culture by exploring the outdoors, reading nonfiction and playing Japanese RPGs.

Sandra Pattison

Assistant Editor

Sandra Pattison is from the rolling hills of the United Kingdom where, when she’s not enjoying that one day of summer, she researches and writes on online security and censorship around the world. Writer by day, mother morning, noon and night, during her little free time she enjoys photography and likes to be spontaneous, but mostly ends up sipping tea with her pinky out.

James Konik

Uncertain if he's a coder who writes or a writer who codes, James tries to funnel as much of this existential tension as possible into both of his passions but finds it of more benefit to his writing than to his software. When occasionally hopping out from behind his keyboard he can be found jogging and cycling around suburban Japan.

Steve Iva

After his time in Silicon Valley, Steve Iva decided to start his own business and travel the world. With a B.Sc. in Information Systems from the University of Heilbronn, Germany, he offers his clients the best of both worlds: tech and business. Being passionate about data protection and IT security, Steve is mostly writing VPN reviews and ecommerce articles, where his Teutonic love of criticism comes in handy. In his spare time, Steve enjoys playing poker, reading books and swimming.

Brian Murray

Brian studied economics at George Mason University before moving away from the big city lights and into the calm of the Appalachians. Writing about tech by day and science fiction by night, Brian hopes to achieve the status of a cyber-renaissance man somewhere between Hideo Kojima and Linus Tech Tips.

Aleksander Hougen

Originally a software engineer, Aleksander decided to leave the office lifestyle behind to live as a digital nomad. He now spends his time writing about technology and tourism, which allows him the freedom to call many different places home. When he’s not writing, he likes to read fantasy/sci-fi, listen to podcasts about history and politics and travel.

Dena Landon

Dena Landon has an MBA from Capella University and has been working as an accountant for over fifteen years. As tallying numbers all day can numb the mind a little, she has taken to writing in her spare time to indulge in flights of fancy (well, not too fancy). Her work has appeared in Good Housekeeping, Salon, The Washington Post and several other publications even more illustrious, though she feels right at home at CommQueR.com.

Jordan Buchan

Public Relations

Jordan can’t decide between living in the Himalayas or the Caribbean, so she is traveling around and calling several places home. While the rest of CommQueR.com is writing about the cloud, Jordan is making friends with our readers and other tech writers. She makes sure CommQueR.com doesn’t become the friend that never texts you back. When she isn’t online, you can find her crafting, doing yoga, or giving back to the community. You can reach her at jordan [at] commquer.com.
